Loneliness tied to death ideation in older adults, study finds
McKnight’s - A new study explored the relationship between loneliness, suicidal thoughts and death ideation in older adults. Overall, feeling lonely was linked with thoughts of wanting to die, according to the results.

Report: More than one-third of nursing homes don’t have required medical director
McKnight’s - Though all nursing homes must have a medical director under federal law, a new study shows that some nursing homes don’t meet the requirement. Facilities that do have a medical director report that the medical director spends just a few hours per week on site, according to the study.
Observation - I mean who can be surprised about this. The industry is a mess.

CNN - Sitting down to exercise may not seem to make sense on first glance. After all, there is a reason why people uninterested in physical activity are often dubbed couch potatoes. But chair yoga is one beneficial form of exercise that embraces the seated posture.
Chair yoga is traditional yoga performed while sitting in or using a chair. Many people assume it’s an exercise for older adults, as chair yoga classes often target this demographic. In addition, many studies have documented its benefits for the older set.
