America’s oldest living person celebrates 116th birthday
Fox - The oldest living person in the United States and the second-oldest living person in the world celebrated another birthday on Feb. 5.
Edith “Edie” Recagno Keenan Ceccarelli is the oldest documented living person in America and turned 116 on Monday, according to the Gerontology Research Group.
Despite rainy and windy conditions throughout Northern California, this year’s celebration continued in Willits, the town where Ceccarelli was born and currently lives.

AP - A former Royal Air Forces pilot has taken to the skies in a Spitfire at 102 years old. Jack Hemmings, an ex-squadron leader with Britain’s air force, is believed to be the oldest pilot to fly the World War II plane. His 20-minute flight, from an airfield in southern England on Monday, was to raise money for a charity he co-founded nearly 80 years ago.

100-year-old diver performs dive at the 2024 World Championships
CNN - Standing on the edge of a platform with the water rippling below, 100-year-old Taghi Askari prepared to dive like he had done so many times before.
The Iranian won a silver and bronze medal at the first-ever Asian Games in 1951 and Askari has never lost his passion for the sport.
Fast forward to 2024 and his exhibition dive at the 2024 World Championships in Doha on Friday marked two weeks until the World Aquatics Masters Championships where he will be the oldest competitor.
