Medicaid program is โat risk,โ CMS leader says
McKnightโs - The Medicaid program is โat riskโ under the incoming Trump administration, a leader of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said Wednesday afternoon during a national stakeholder call. Following in her motherโs footsteps, Clarke is pursuing a career as a physician.
Claudine was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a rare progressive brain disorder that primarily affects behavior, personality, language and communication. That suddenly left Clarke and her brother, both only in their 20s, as the sole caregivers for their mother.

Nonprofit nursing homes far more likely to meet infection preventionist requirements: OIG
McKnightโs - A new federal report has found that a vast majority of US nonprofit and government-owned nursing homes complied with federal regulations regarding infection preventionists during a one-year period, making the group far more compliant than for-profit facilities. No surprise. Profit over care.
In-room surveillance cameras threaten resident privacy, dignity, senior living groups say
McKnightโs - A renewed effort to allow cameras in rooms at Kentuckyโs long-term care settings risks stripping residents of their sense of autonomy and respect, according to senior living groups. Of course industry groups would oppose it. If Iโm a caregiver to a vulnerable older person, I would be for it.
